Many people nowadays are interested in such things as mediumship, clairvoyance and telepathy, and would like to develop these faculties, thinking that it would be a great advantage to be able to know and delve into the unknown. Why dangerous? Because, in order to be clairvoyant, in order to be a medium, one is obliged to maintain an extremely passive, receptive attitude. The invisible world also contains many monstrous creatures created by the thoughts and feelings of criminals and black magicians, and these creatures are always ready to sneak in to a human being whenever they find an open door, that is to say, whenever they find someone too weak or too ignorant to defend themselves. Psychiatric hospitals are full of people whose eagerness to make contact with the invisible world through their gifts of clairvoyance and mediumship led to their being invaded by these creatures of darkness.
