Two souls that have been created by God as one can never be separated by anyone, nothing can keep them apart when they are made for each other. They recognize each other with absolute certainty and, once they have found each other, they cannot be separated.
A human being meets their twin soul twelve times during their entire earthly existence, including all their incarnations, and more often than not this meeting is fatal to them both, for there is no place in human lives for perfect love, the right conditions do not exist.
Do not misunderstand me: the fact that your husband or wife is far from being your twin soul is no reason to leave him or her! That is the moment to realize that you are two associates who came together to work, to accomplish a task that must be done, and you must be together until you are parted by death.
Our twin soul is our higher self, with which we must unite
Philosophically speaking, we could say that our twin soul is our higher self, our opposite pole. If we are here on the earth below, the other pole must be above, where God and his Angels are, in heaven in all its perfection and plenitude.
That is what disciples were taught in the mysteries of initiation: how to become one with the other pole. In India, what is called Jnani-Yoga teaches a method thanks to which the yogi unites with their higher self… and eventually, with God himself. The same idea can be found in Greece, in-scribed on the facade of the Delphic Temple: Know Thyself.
Every spiritual doctrine teaches humans to use the faculties of their minds to climb as high as possible above the physical, material world into the world of Light where the principle of our higher self will lead us to godhood. In this way we create an affinity, a sympathetic link with the complementary principle. It is the only way to find God.
Our twin soul links us to the heavenly Father and the divine Mother
Woman finds God through man because he represents the male principle, which is linked to the heavenly Father; man finds God through the feminine principle, through woman, thus becoming linked with nature herself, the divine Mother. Without the feminine principle (which he lacks), man has no impetus, no inspiration, no desire, nothing; without the masculine principle (which she lacks), woman remains inert, useless, sterile and without form.
If we have no beauty inside, then we will not see it around us!
We all seek our kindred soul or spirit, but, as Initiatic Science tells us, we cannot find on the outside what we have not already found inside, we will pass it by without noticing. The more beauty we possess inwardly, the more beauty we will perceive on the physical plane. If we are not sufficiently developed, if we have no beauty inside, then we will not see it around us nor even recognize its existence! If we have inner beauty, we will see it everywhere, because the outer world is a reflection of the inner world.

Chapter 2, Reflections of the Two Principles
Hello! I read this topic and to be honest i got a little confused. If i understand correctly, Aivanhov mentions two types of twin souls here. The one twin soul is our higher self and the other is another soul who we meet twelve times during our entire incarnations. So apart from our higher self there is an other very compatible soul as well?
Thank you for this important question dear Sophie. Well yes and no… the Master is talking of two dimensions – the world of the Spirit and the world of the Soul. The Higher Self is more related to the Spirit, and the Twin Soul, not surprisingly, to our Soul.
It is the Twin Soul we meet 12 times during our many incarnations, after which the masculine and feminine principles are united within us and we are complete. After that, when we reincarnate again, we do not need the other half, it is within us. This is why Initiates and Masters do not need a partner. They have both the masculine and feminine within them.
In relation to our Spirit the Master talks about the two poles, the one below, which in the same way has to unite with the one above, our Higher Self.
I hope this give you at least a partial answer. We will do another post in the next few days from a lecture in Complete Works Volume 14 which addresses the subject in detail. In the meantime the topic of the soul and the spirit are explained further in these two posts.
All the posts have links to a book where you can read more.

Thank you John from the immediate response! So the Twin Soul is not another human being with a compatible soul but the Universal Soul. The part that we meet the Twin Soul 12 times during our many incarnations, got me confused. I thought the reference was for another human. I will be waiting for the post for further information. Also thank you for the links!
Hi Sophie, a twin soul is both another human being and a part of our Higher Self and the Universal Soul – as you will read in today’s post. Complete Works Volume 14, Love and Sexuality, is a good read if you wish to study more. We hope you enjoy the journey with us…
