‘To find the meaning of life is to attain a state of consciousness so elevated that it embraces the whole universe, and all the minor, petty details of life lose their consistency and fade to nothing.

Even if they are despised and persecuted, someone who has found the meaning of life feels comforted within themself; it is they who look at others with pity, thinking to themself, ‘Poor creatures, they don’t know that, whatever they say or do to me, I am living in immensity and eternity, I am participating in the life of the cosmos.’

Perhaps you find that what I have been saying is very difficult to understand. Actually, there is really only one thing you have to remember, and it is this: you will only find the meaning of life if you put yourself at the service of a sublime ideal.

For, behind that ideal, billions of luminous creatures are at work, and when they see that you want to collaborate in their work and build a new world with them, they will shower you with gifts and you will feel that something inside you is bursting and overflowing. Even if you ask for nothing and expect no reward, you will sense that you are being given everything.’
