LM pic 2015My early life involved studies in Fine Art, fifteen years working in humanitarian aid, and then a few years as professor of Visual Art. A busy life indeed, but one which left me unsatisfied spiritually.

In 1976, a powerful force burst into my life: I discovered the teaching of the Master Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov. The following year, I personally met him at the Bonfin, the center in the south of France that he called his Initiatic School. In 1978, I joined the group of permanent volunteers there and looked after the craft workshop.

Apart from the lectures the Master gave each day during the summer congress, his presence, his encouragement and his advice were very precious to us. He knew how to be very close to each of us, according to our needs, and in a way that suited our spiritual development.

In 1985, he returned to Quebec, and I had the opportunity to meet him again when I presented a project for a small fraternal community for which I was the spokesperson. He chose the more beautiful of two sites I had found and expanded the project to include the entire Canadian brotherhood. The land we bought then became the National Centre Blagoslovénié (“All blessings” in Bulgarian).

In 1991, as a result of very special circumstances, I was driven to undertake the writing of his biography. This project required extensive research in the archives of the Universal White Brotherhood, a hundred interviews with people who knew him, two trips to Bulgaria – his birth country – several trips to different European countries and repeated stays at the Bonfin. A huge work that took seven wonderful years.

After publishing this first book, I went on writing and publishing: among others, an essay on the great themes of the teaching of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov, two books for young people and several “initiatic” novels describing spiritual awakening in humans.

It is this, no doubt, that explains the recognition he has gained throughout the world. Every year, hundreds of thousands of readers from every cultural background – agnostic, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish, oriental – discover his published talks.

Seven years of research among friends of Mikhaël’s youth in Bulgaria and his mature years in France, as well as the study of several thousand documents in the archives of his talks, enables Louise-Marie Frenette to reveal to us this man’s extraordinary power to endow the word ‘life’ with a transcendent sense of immediacy and radiant joy.

The author, a novelist and essayist, has given us an exceptional biography, the most accomplished and most fully documented work about Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov.

The Beautiful Story of a Master

Beautiful Story

What is a Master ? He is someone who has put all his strength and all his qualities to work to achieve something great.

You can become a master of karate, a master of ballet or a master of computer science. But you can also become a master of yourself.

When he was still very young – only a child – Mikhaël practised controlling his energy, his impulses and his desires. And he succeeded. He became a true Master and devoted his whole life to helping others. He showed them the path of light which is capable of transforming people and giving them great inner strength and great qualities. His life is a beautiful story which can inspire us to follow his example.

A New Consciousness

NewConsciousnessWhat is it that drives us to seek to transform ourselves and our lives? The desire for happiness. It is in this context that the author relates her personal experience of the transformational power of the ideas and methods of Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov.

In this vibrant and colorful account she shows how his teaching responds to the basic needs we all have in common: how to nourish every level of our being; how to make use of the difficulties we encounter; how to expand the scope of our love; how to build a better future for ourselves and for humanity.
